I guess all's fair in Love & War
Odin's eyes burst open, and he looked down into Mazren's eyes. The were golden tawny, but had a red tint from his anger. Odin felt his heart racing, fear gripping him more than Mazren. He was held up against the wall, his fur roughed up and Mazren's claws digging into his shoulder. "M-m-Mazren..." Odin's voice was shaking badly, his fear slowly rising.
"What do you think you are doing?" Mazren's voice was a growl by this point, his body tensed with anger. He didn't see Odin even though he glared at him. "Well? You better have a good reason..."
Odin was trembling, "I-I-I-I-I'm sorry... I-I-I-I-I don't have a good reason...I'm sorry... I was told to come in here and-" Odin blinked and tears poured out.
Mazren finally saw Odin, he saw the terror and he saw the tears. "Oh shit... I over reacted..." He pulled Odin to himself and laid down on the bed again. "I'm sorry, I over reacted way too much..." He pulled Odin onto his torso, and watched Odin try to calm down, "really Odin, I'm sorry...I just... Don't know what Came over me..." Mazren had seen the fear in Odin and it had scared him. Odin hadn't done anything, Mazren had woken up with his arm around Odin and Odin laid his arm across Mazren's chest. He had done nothing he could help. Sure he was naked but he wasn't doing anything, it wasn't his fault either, he had woken up in the forest naked and had no memories of before that.
Odin sniffed and hid his face in Mazren's fur, even though he had just been terrified he was comforted by Mazren's scent. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I was curled up with you..." He shook in fear, and Mazren turned, keeping hold of Odin and tucking him between his torso and arm. "...Mazren... But..."
Mazren suddenly licked Odin, shutting him up, "don't worry about it, it's my problem... At least here nobody will ever know about this..." Mazren held Odin close, actually enjoying himself although he'd never admit it. He was too ashamed to admit that he liked other guys even though most of the people who knew him already knew about it. Mazren rested his head on Odin's, as he breathed he got a whiff of Odin's scent. Mazren realized that he actually liked Odin's scent, but it only made him hate himself.
Odin looked up towards Mazren without moving his head. Feeling Mazren relax but then tense suddenly he grew worried, "is everything okay Mazren?" He felt Mazren relax again but he soon tensed up again. Odin sat up and rubbed Mazren's chest feeling the muscles tense up.
Mazren sighed, "I just hate myself... This is so wrong but it somehow feels right..." Mazren focused on breathing and trying to relax, closing his eyes. When he opened them again Odin had straddled him. "Ack! What are you doing Odin?"
Odin laid over Mazren, wrapping his arms around Mazren's neck. "There's nothing wrong with this..." Odin nuzzled Mazren, then licking his muzzle. "If it truly was wrong your body wouldn't be so accepting of it. It's all in your head, just accept it..."
Mazren gulped and flipped over, holding himself above Odin. "Odin that's not funny you know..." Odin rolled out from under him, knocking him down and curling up next to Mazren. Odin held one of Mazren 's arms, curling around it.
Odin nuzzled Mazren's upper arm, "I never said it was funny, just that you need to relax and accept this... There's nothing wrong with it, in fact you probably need it..." Odin rolled around, resting his head Odin Mazren's shoulder. "Just open up to what feels natural to you, not what everyone else thinks..."
Mazren pushed Odin away as the bartender entered the room, carrying a stack of leather clothes. "Mazren... Listen to him... No one is going to judge you differently, at least no one who actually matters..." He went to the table and laid the clothes down, then returning his gaze to Mazren and Odin, who was trying to get back under Mazren's arm. He laughed at Odin's attempts getting blocked, "Mazren, nobody cares that you like him... Everyone wants you to just accept himself as a mate... You'd be much happier." He flattened his head fur, the grey hairs lining up in one direction.
Odin saw kindness in the barkeep's old eyes, and then looked at Mazren's. In them he saw sadness, as well as a self hatred. Odin found a weak moment and latched onto Mazren, he wasn't letting go, even though he was barely able to wrap his arms around Mazren. "Don't hate yourself, especially if I can help you out of the sadness..." Odin could somehow connect with that feeling, and he teared up, holding onto Mazren.
Mazren glanced at the barkeep who just smiled and nodded before exiting the room. Mazren held onto Odin and licked the tears, "look, I'm sorry..." He exhaled, shaking a little, "...it's wrong for me to treat you like that, I cam only try to be a good mate for you, but it'll be hard for me."
Odin's grip loosened as he was mo confident he would be able to stay in his spot. "I can tell, but you'll do perfect," he licked Mazren's muzzle then nuzzled him, "you just have to accept who you are. Especially since everyone else has."

Chapter 2
I had no home?
Odin was thrown into a ruined fountain, picking himself up, the blood from the fountain dripping off of his skin. Odin turned to face the one who had thrown him in, it was a cherubim. The lion head was roaring, the human head screaming in a mix of pain and anger, and the Ox head glared at him the best it could. Odin pulled out his pentagram, focusing his energy, "Thor's Blessing: Thunder Crusher!" Odin jumped shooting up 100 meters, crashing down covered in lightning on the cherubim. Odin jumped back onto rubble, away from the cherubim as it was slowly stripped apart. A light sparkle lifted from it's remains and floated to Odin's pentagram, "13 of God's minions... Why is this happening?"There was an androgynous laugh from behind him, Odin jumped turning around to face the source. A multiple armed humanoid stood there, it's right side was clearly masculine, where the left side was clearly a female. Odin sighed, "Ardhanarishvara... Don't scare me like that... Can I help you?"
The deity approached him, "no, we are here to help you... For you are one of the few who can fight YHWH and his army..." The female arms flowed over Odin's skin healing any injury he had sustained while the masculine hands infused his pentagram with a new power.
Odin was still as the hands worked, "so the Jewish faith is killing us all? Didn't see that coming... Christianity seemed more likely to destroy the world..." The female arms finished healing him and joined the male arms in infusing a new power.
Ardhanarishvara shook it's head, "not exactly just Jewish, it's the god of the trinity religions, YHWH is just as close as you humans have to his real name... It's Christianity's fault he has this happening..." Ardhanarishvara put it's arms down, "think of it as our gift," it bowed, rising up split into Shiva and Parvati. "We hope you have good fortunes in this battle..." They walked away, in perfect sync, leaving Odin alone.
Odin shrugged and wander out of the city, thinking on what this new power they had given him was. By the time he came to he was in the ruins of a house, looking at a family photo. "A picture is worth a thousand words... Too bad they are mostly lies..." He dropped the photo and walked into a room, "this was nothing but a house..."
There was a rush of cold air and a white feather landed in front of him, the root tips a dingy grey. "Ha, a heartless child like you could never have a home... Face it Odin, your game is over." Odin turned to the archangel Satan, "too bad this was too easy..." Satan smirked at Odin.
"Satan, those new wing's don't suit you... They wash your skin out..." Odin smirked back, "did lucifer suck as much dick to get back in HIS graces?"
Satan's face hardened into a glare, "no, he is on your side oddly enough and besides, that little technicality that sent me to Hell was worked out so I was allowed back in..." He brandished a claymore, "prepare to meet your friends in Hell!" Satan swung at Odin with full force.
Odin didn't flinch but merely blocked with an arch he had kept on his back. He pushed away, chipping the claymore's edge and forcing Satan away. "You're a fool if you think they were my friends... And you're an idiot for thinking I would be unprepared for an archangel attack..." Odin bent the Arch handle shaping the edge into a broadsword, he swung and shattered Satan's Claymore. "Goodbye Satan, too bad you have to be ended like this..." With a few flicks of his wrists, Odin easily diced Satan with one arm. The light sparkled out of Satan's remains and into the pentagram, "now he makes 14..."
Odin shut the Arch down and placed it back on the holster he had on his back. He turned away from the house and walked away, the world seemingly fading out, Odin getting a floating feeling as if being lifted from his body.
Chapter 1
What makes a home?
There was a voice, or was it voices? No matter how many voices they all matched rhythm and time as they spoke. "You think you're so lucky? That everything will be normal now? You're a foolish human, ah wait, you're not human are you? Well not anymore at least, enjoy your new life, everything you cared about is gone. YOU HAVE NO HOME!"Odin jerked awake, falling out of a tree. "Ow... What a nightmare... Wait where am I?" He rotated on the spot looking around, until he felt a sharp pain shoot up his spine. "Argh, son of a- what the hell?" He stared at the tail, which led to his own ass, which was charcoal grey as well as red fox markings. He looked down his front, stopping at his sheath, "Why am I naked?!" Odin had many questions, none of them had a good answer if any at all.
There was a sharp wooden snapping noise, and Odin spun around, tail slapping into a thorn bush. "Fuck that hurts!" He looked towards where the noise came from, the tree leaves rustling as a dark green tiger appeared. Odin whipped his tail around him, some thorns still stuck in his fur, scratching his ass as the tail wrapped around him.
By the time the tiger reached him Odin was curled up in pain. The tiger was unsure of what to do with a naked shadow fox curled on the ground. "Um... Are you okay?" The tiger grabbed Odin and moved him into a clearing, and helped pick the thorns out of Odin's tail. He also helped Odin clean up his fur, but when he got to Odin's privates he freaked out and turned away adjusting himself.
Odin couldn't help but nervously accept this newcomer's help. When it had come time to clean out his fur he couldn't help but be shy, he also freaked a little when the tiger had gotten too close to his privates. "Um... Thanks... I'm good now..." He tapped the tiger's shoulder, feeling his muscles tense up and his fur bristle. "Oh... Sorry..." Odin backed off and looked for something to use to cover himself.
The tiger turned around to watch Odin scurry around, but when Odin bent over fully the tiger felt something. He quickly discarded the feeling, "my name is Mazren, if you seriously don't have clothes you can come into town with me... Here use this spare shirt at least." He handed a shirt to Odin before quickly turning away.
Odin was shocked at the sound of his voice, "I-I'm Odin... I-I think..." He had gotten very nervous, Mazren's voice was deep but soothing to him. He took the shirt and put it on; although, it was much bigger than him, he felt comfortable with it on. He noticed there was a scent on it, that scent was what he felt comfortable with.
Mazren looked over at Odin draped in his shirt, smelling it, "is there something wrong with it?" He was concerned, it was way bigger than Odin, even though it was tight on himself.
Odin put down the sleeves and rolled them up so he could use his paws, somewhat. "Oh no, it smells nice actually... Rather comforting honestly..." He pulled the shirt over his hips and it fell mid-thigh. He walked over to Mazren, "lead the way."
Mazren found it odd that his shirt smelled good it shrugged it off. They traveled until sunset through the forest before they reached a tavern. "We'll rest here for the night, town's not too far off now but it's dangerous to travel at night."
Odin yawned and rubbed his eyes, "okay I'm fine with stopping here. I'm tired anyways," there was a loud rumbling noise, "and apparently hungry..." He held his stomach, a pain starting to burn in his stomach. "Ow... Okay, I'm starving..." Odin followed Mazren inside where everyone kind of stared at them.
The bartender was a middle aged black bear, "well look there, Mazren finally found himself a mate... A little small but hey good for you... Sheesh you rip his clothes off alr-"
"SHUT UP, I'M NOT LIKE THAT!" Mazren's voice boomed through the tavern, he went and picked up a room key and snarled, "just feed him and I'll take him into town, he was lost in the forest and doesn't remember how he lost his clothes..." He stormed off towards the room, leaving Odin in everyone's gaze.
Odin stood awkwardly frozen in place, holding down the shirt trying to not shake like a leaf. A barmaid swept him along and over to the bar where he was served plates of various foods, "sorry, I can't afford this... And I don't want to burden him..."
The bartender smiled, "don't worry about it, I just need you to do one thing..." He pulled out a mug and filled it with mead for Odin, "as you saw, Mazren is very defensive about having a mate... None of the regular's here would be surprised if you we're his mate... We all know he isn't interested in women, he just won't admit it, and well you seem like you'd be able to bring him around."
Odin looked up from his mini-feast, "are you sure about him, sure there's just something that's comforting but... I don't think he will be so open to it..." Odin stopped and stared at his food, "...I don't want him mad at me when he's being nice to me."
The barkeep cleaned up an empty plate as Odin finished, "look if something happens I'll take the blame, it is my idea after all... I'm honestly tired of seeing him alone and mopey when he comes here. He's in room seven, the door is unlocked and there's one bed for you both to share... Please just try..." The bear gathered up the dishes and took them away.
"Okay, I-I'll try..." Odin left the bar and head up to the room. Like the barkeep said, the door was unlocked and the room only had one bed. Odin crept around the bed and slipped in, removing the shirt and staying away from Mazren.
All of a sudden Odin was pulled next to a sleeping Mazren, "gr... They... Don't... Understand..." Mazren was talking in his sleep, cuddling a terrified Odin. Mazren was strong, and more than capable of keeping Odin feeling safe. Odin grew comfortable with this and allowed Mazren to shift him around. Odin inhaled and he smelled the scent again, it was even better than on the shirt. Odin buried his muzzle in Mazren's fur and fell asleep slowly. He actually felt safe and secure with Mazren even though something felt wrong. As if he wasn't where he belonged, even though Mazren made him feel wanted if only during these moments.
